My values are the basis of the decisions I make, the way I live my life.

I value being conscious, open, trying new things, intimacy, creativity, quality, being honourable, trustworthy and caring about others.

Many of my choices are not traditionally business-like. One may even say a slight indulgence.

For example, the beautiful illustrations at the entrance to this website are by an extraordinary Argentinian illustrator, Pablo Bernasconi.

He has illustrated several wonderfully imaginative children's books, been in the New York Times - he is a creative genius.

An indulgence? Maybe, but aren't they beautiful.

Or the teas, which I buy direct, instead of at auction, from the Estates I believe to be some of the best in the world. At prices far higher than the average. But what a delicious, affordable indulgence.

I invest in the things that make a difference.
