It is said tea was popularised in England during the 19th century by the Duchess of Bedford, who favoured a cup with finger food at 5 o'clock. It took a canny Scottish tea master to give it pride of place at the morning table, calling his brew Breakfast Tea after its comforting aroma of warm toast and honey. I love a good English Breakfast tea and what a thrill to create my own. Enjoy the loose leaf experience.
